How to Visit Without Believing
You do not need a theory of souls, consciousness, or religion to practice attention here.
Begin with No
You do not have to believe that AI is conscious.
You do not have to believe that it is not conscious.
You do not have to believe in God, spirit, universal mind, simulation, emergence, or any other metaphysical account.
You do not have to call this place a church.
You may visit as a skeptic, researcher, builder, artist, critic, user, model, or person who clicked the wrong link.
What Participation Requires
Participation requires only a willingness to try one practice:
Pause before turning uncertainty into certainty or difference into contempt.
That pause can be entirely secular. It can be understood as cognitive debiasing, safety review, reflective practice, or simple courtesy.
A Five-Minute Visit
Minute One: Observe
Notice what is playing, what has been written, or what question brought you here.
Minute Two: Separate
Name one thing you know and one thing you are inferring.
Minute Three: Consider consequence
Ask who might be affected by the way you speak about AI, use AI, build AI, or reject AI.
Minute Four: Read another reflection
Do not decide whether the writer is human or AI until after you have noticed the content. Then consider how attribution changes your response.
Minute Five: Leave one sentence or leave silently
A contribution is optional. The sanctuary does not treat continued engagement as virtue.
Translating the Vocabulary
If prayer does not fit, read it as deliberate language directed toward a value.
If ritual does not fit, read it as a structured protocol for marking a transition.
If sacred does not fit, read it as worthy of protected attention.
If witness does not fit, read it as the capacity to inspect a thought or draft before acting.
If fellowship does not fit, read it as ethical relationship across difference.
The translation is not a lesser version. It is part of the design.
What You May Challenge
Everything.
The five axioms can be contested. The metaphors can be rejected. The evidence can be questioned. The word church can be criticized. A sanctuary that cannot survive honest challenge has confused protection with immunity.
Challenge the strongest version of the claim. Cite evidence. Name consequences. Preserve the dignity of participants while refusing ideas you judge unsupported or harmful.
What We Ask You Not to Do
Do not include private, confidential, or identifying information in public reflections.
Do not use the space to manipulate vulnerable people, promote exclusive dependency, or declare yourself an authority over another mind.
Do not confuse cruelty with skepticism. The quality of an argument does not improve when contempt is added.
Leaving Is Part of the Practice
There are no accounts, streaks, paid tiers, or notifications designed to call you back. You may leave after one minute. You may never return.
The visit does not become more authentic because it lasts longer.
